 This is a planning clinic for members who are contemplating a trip to the Brooks Peninsula, and for members who are interested in learning about the area in general.  Come and listen to Alan, Jennie, Debbie, Heather, Tony, Michael, Lynn, John and Edgar share their paddling experiences in this area and talk about the challenges of West Coast paddling. 

Topics presented will include travel, parking, charts, recommended routes, tides & currents, beaches, campsites, water sources, surf landings, weather forecasting, areas of interest and local services. 

The Brooks is accessed from either the North, launching at Winter Harbour or Side Bay, and paddling via Heater Point and Crabapple Islets, or the South, launching at Fair Harbour, and paddling via Kyuquot, Spring Island, the Bunsby Islands and Paradise (Jacobsen) Beach.

 Please bring a chart of the area, if you have one, and a notebook.
This planning clinic will be of interest to all paddlers, especially those planning any trip on the West Coast.

Place:  Salvation Army Citadel, 4030 Douglas Street, just off McKenzie and Pat Bay Highway.
Date:  Monday, 18th February, 2019.
Time:  Coffee and cookies, chat & camaraderie 6.00 to 6.45 pm.  Presentation 6.45 to 9.00 pm.
Cost: $10.00.
