Sunday January 20th, 2019. Meet at 9:30 am to be on the water at 10:00 am .

Where:
Meet at the Albert Head launch site. View map of launch site.

Who:
Contact the trip leader, Willi Fast, for more information or to register for the paddle.

The Plan:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A
We will meet at the Albert Head launch site by at least 09:30 with an aim to be on the water by 10:00. If it takes you more than 30 minutes to prepare to launch, please arrive early. Please car pool if possible, parking is limited. After a beach talk to review our route and paddling conditions, we will follow the coast around Albert Head into Witty's Lagoon. The tide will be high enough for us to paddle to Sitting Lady Falls. Recent rain should provide a decent flow over the falls. Those who desire can take turns poking their noses into the falls! We will retreat out of the lagoon for lunch on the spit. After lunch, conditions permitting, we can paddle out to the Haystock Islets before paddling back closer to the shoreline to follow it around back to our start. There are mild rock gardening opportunities along the route. Bring helmets if you are interested in that. Pack a lunch, wear immersion gear. We may practice some solo and assisted re-entries along the way if conditions and inclinations allow! Post-Paddle coffee / debrief TBA.
Plan B
Shoreline paddle in Esquimalt Lagoon if conditions around Albert Head prevent us from going there.
