Rounding Possession Point we will keep close to the shoreline and paddle past Iron Mine Bay (East Sooke Regional Park). Following this coast line for approximately 2nm, our lunch destination is Cabin Point (also in East Sooke Park). Nice pocket beach here that is out of the wind, After lunch, we head back west to the Whiffin Spit launch point. Winds and currents allowing, on the way back we can go around the south shore of Secretary Island before coming back into the Sooke inlet and Whiffin Spit beach.
If you plan to so some rock gardening along the East Sooke shoreline, please bring a helmet.
