Plan A:
This is a special one-way paddle, with a ferry return. Here are the waypoints on our route: Barnacle road beach, Coal Island, Pym Island, Portland Island, Russell Island (lunch), Salt Spring Island (east shore), Fulford Harbour ferry. We will put on our kayak carts at Fulford Harbour and wheel the kayaks onto the ferry. There is no cost for the ferry. Here is a link to a map of our route:

We will be returning on the 3:50pm sailing from Fulford Harbour, arriving at Swartz Bay at 4:25pm. Upon arriving at Swartz Bay we will wheel our kayaks through the terminal and back to our cars on Barnacle road.

Parking: Barnacle Road has limited free parking and may fill up. In that case, it is possible to park for $12.50 a day at the nearby BC Ferries parking lot.

Options for unloading at Fulford Harbour: There is a public dock with a ladder. Someone will hold your kayak when you go up the ladder. Otherwise, there is a small trail up a short and gnarly slope at the other end of the terminal. The dock landing is preferable.

Carts: every participant needs to carry a kayak cart.

A random draw will be made 3 days after the paddle announcement. A wait list will be kept.

Plan B:
If weather does not cooperate the paddle will be cancelled.
