CHS predictions (tides.gc.ca) for Telegraph Cove's stations. Bold times fall within the trip. Not for navigation.
Route plan A
Depart Telegraph Cove (Bay) following the shoreline past Finnerty Cove, Arbutus Cove, and Glencoe Cove before rounding Gordon Head to Margaret Bay. Return following the same route. Lunch / rest stop at either Margaret Bay or Glencoe Cove. There are a couple of notable sea caves along the route, seabirds are usually plentiful, seals and sea lions have been seen.
*** Tide at Finerty Cove is predicted as 2.82M @ 1000hrs --> 2.97M at 1200hrs --> 2.85M @ 1400hrs) which makes for favourable launching and landing conditions at Telegraph Cove. Current should be negligible with slack in Baynes Channel at launch time followed by a light ebb giving a push back to Telegraph Cove after lunch break ****
Lots of parking, but no washroom facilities at Telegraph Cove (or Margaret Bay or Glencoe Cove).
Route plan B
TBA - dependent on winds and waves.
