This practical, hands-on workshop focuses on essential risk management skills for paddling environments. Participants will learn how to identify and assess risks on the water, make informed decisions based on conditions, group ability, and equipment, and apply strategies to prevent incidents before they occur. Through guided discussion and on-water scenarios, the session covers trip planning, hazard recognition, communication, emergency preparedness, and effective responses to common paddling risks.
