Plan A:
Taking advantage of the flood tide we will depart from the Barnacle Road site and paddle via Portland Island to Otter Bay on Pender Island. We can have coffee or a beverage at the Otter Bay marina and then roll on to the ferry. Wheels required for this trip.
From Barnacle we’ll head via Pym and Shell Beach, then cruise up the west side of Portland Lunch break at Arbutus Point on Portland then we’ll cross the ferry lane north of Canoe Rock and head towards Thieves Bay. We’ll noodle our way to Otter Bay with a bio break at Shingle Bay.
Otter Bay marina has a nice cafe for a social visit, then it’s wheels on and up the hill to the ferry. Ferry leaves at 4:15 and gets to Swartz just before 5.
