What:
A SISKA Relaxed paddle from Brentwood Bay Ferry Wharf to Mackenzie Bight Come and enjoy a relaxed paddle to McKenzie Bight via Spectacle Falls

The total distance of this paddle is estimated to be approximately 7.90nm.
When:
Sunday, May 22nd, 2022. Meet at the launchsite by 09:30am to be on the water by 10:00am

Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
We will meet at launch site and help one another with bringing the kayaks down to the water. We will paddle from launch site to Willis Point and then over to west side of Squally Reach and along the coast to Spectacle Falls where we will stop for lunch. We then will paddle up the East side of Squally Reach to Willis Point , then return to our launch site
Plan B:
We will meet at the launch site and help one another bring our kayaks down to the water. We will paddle from launch site to Willis Point and along East side of Squally Reach to McKenzie Bight where we will stop for lunch. We then will retrace our route back to Willis Point and will return to launch site via Tod Inlet. Approx. distance 7.2 nm

The maximum number of paddlers for this paddle has been set to 11. There is room for 1 paddler(s).
Note:
Always dress for the possibility of immersion and please bring a drybag containing a spare change of clothes.
Please bring a lunch / snacks and sufficient beverage to keep you hydrated, as well as a themos of something warm.
All participants are expected to have read, and to comply with SISKA's Policies and Procedures
All paddlers must have submitted proof of vaccination in order to take part in this paddle.
