What:
A SISKA Light paddle from Brentwood Bay Ferry Wharf to Todd Inlet A light, shorter paddle from Brentwood Bay Ferry Wharf to Todd Inlet.
Skill Level:
This paddle is rated as a Light Paddle and will follow the same rules as a Relaxed Paddles with regard to current, wind, waves and crossings.. To understand this designation better, please read SISKA's Paddle Guidelines
Paddlers taking part in this paddle are required to have PC Basic or equivalent experience. For information about PC Levels click here.
The total distance of this paddle is estimated to be approximately 3.20nm.
When:
Thursday, March 09th, 2023. Meet at the launchsite by 09:30am to be on the water by 10:00am

Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
We will meet at 09:30 for a 10:00am start at launch site on the west side of Brentwood Bay Resort. We will help one another down with our kayaks (there is a fairly steep path down to the water). The plan is paddle around the coast of the bay to Todd Inlet and then paddle into the inlet to the public beach where we will stop for a break and a snack. There is a pleasant walk around the area which we can do if the group wishes. We will retrace our path back to the launch site and help one another with bringing the kayaks back to the parking area. Note: Public washrooms are available at the launch site.

Note:
Always dress for the possibility of immersion and please bring a drybag containing a spare change of clothes.
Please bring a lunch / snacks and sufficient beverage to keep you hydrated, as well as a themos of something warm.
All participants are expected to have read, and to comply with SISKA's Policies and Procedures
All paddlers must have submitted proof of vaccination in order to take part in this paddle.
