Plan A:
This is a one-way paddle that will involve a car shuttle to make it all work. We will all meet initially at the public boat launch at Maple Bay Rowing Club. We will split the cars up so that we have enough cars at the Genoa Bay paddle end point to enable taking drivers back to Maple Bay to pick up vehicles so as to return to Genoa Bay to load boats before heading out.

The paddle will commence from Maple Bay. There is an ebb tide until around 1pm. The tide and current will carry us through Sansum Narrows and beyond to Separation Point. The flood tide later in the pm will push us into Genoa Bay Marina. This is a glorious area to paddle as it feels very remote (but isn't) and we should be coming into the beautiful fall coiours to make it a very scenic paddle.

We can stop for lunch at a nice beach below Grouse Hill at the mid-point of the paddle. Total distance of the paddle is just over 8nm.

After the paddle we can stop by the nearby Lion Rampant Pub and Restaurant overlooking the water in Maple Bay for some refreshments and snacks.
