Details:
Can’t always make it on a club paddle? Unsure how to plan for a day on the water safely and proficiently?
This clinic will go over all the basics to make you confident enough to get out on your own and enjoy the sea on your terms, at your own time. We will go over everything from paddling locations, leaving a float plan, basic reading of weather and tides, what to bring, and more. If you want more paddling independence, this clinic is for you.
Jo Nicolson, an avid paddler, is PC Level 4 skills, PC Level 2 Instructor, and Sea Kayak Guide Alliance Guide level 3. She is an educator of grade school kids and has regularly spent her summers guiding in Desolation Sound, Gulf Islands, Johnstone Strait, and the West Coast of Vancouver Island. She is also a SISKA Paddle Leader and Instructor.
Cost:
The cost of this Off Water Clinicis $15
Note: Refunds for cancellations will be permitted until 2 weeks in advance of a paid workshop, clinic, or course. Within 2 weeks of such an event, refunds for cancellations will only be provided if another member registers and pays for the spot vacated.
