A SISKA Relaxed paddle from Albert Head to CRABBING Albert Head CRABBING Day

When:
Sunday, June 16th, 2024. Meet at the launchsite by 09:30am to be on the water by 10:00am

Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
Always wanted to learn how to go crabbing? Here is your chance. Edmond Duggan, our local SISKA crabbing expert will show us the ins and outs of crabbing. He will supply the traps and this weekend is 'No License' crabbing. So, you will not need a license for this paddle. All you need is a bit of bait, preferably some raw chicken bits. There will be limited paddling, but more beach time for instruction, then afterwards, hopefully a crab lunch from our catch.

Always dress for the possibility of immersion and please bring a drybag containing a spare change of clothes.
Please bring a lunch / snacks and sufficient beverage to keep you hydrated, as well as a themos of something warm.
