Plan A:
After a “beach” talk (there won’t be much beach, I’m afraid), we’ll paddle across Brentwood Bay to Willis Point before crossing Saanich Inlet to Sheppard Point and on too Spectacle Falls. There should be plenty of water in the falls. We’ll cross Squally reach to Mackenzie Bight for lunch on the beach or better, on the rocks. Then, a leisurely paddle home (inshallah) along the east side of Saanich inlet. The entire trip will be less than ten nautical miles. Dress for immersion and bring something hot for lunch and enough clothes to be warm.
There is parking at Verdier Park. We will retire to the Brentwood Bay Resort for beverages and a debrief.
Plan B:
The wind predictions are wild. If we need an alternative, we will head out of Brentwood Bay into Todd inlet and hug the shore to Mackenzie Bight.
