Plan A:
Meet at Telegraph Cove (across Arbutus Road at 10 Mile Point )by 9:15am to be OTW by 10:00am. After a beach talk we will noodle the shoreline towards Cadboro Point. The group will meet up at 10 Mile Point to cross Baynes Channel as a unit, using the moderate ebb current to assist us.We will paddle clock-wise around Chatham Islands and either carry straight on to Rudland Bay on Discovery Island for lunch or paddle a figure of 8 to Rudland Bay. This will be decided depending on the group skills and stamina! Rudland Bay has the campsite and a nice outhouse! After a leisurely lunch we will continue around Discovery Island and then cross back to Cadboro Point and on to Telegraph Cove. We will likely see seals maybe sea lions, and if very lucky, whales!
Plan B:
I will email the group the day before if westerly winds prevent the above planned paddle. Fingers crossed!
