A SISKA Energizer paddle from Port Browning on Pender Island to Port Browning on Pender Island

When:
Monday, July 07th, 2025. Meet at the launchsite by 9:30am to be on the water by 10:00am

Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
GIGAbite v1.0 is a 4 day, 3 night camp out with an emphasis on all round fitness and gourmet food. The schedule is as follows:
Monday Day 1- ferry to Pender, Hope Bay to Dinner Bay for disc golf, set up camps, dinner at the pub 8nm
Tuesday Day 2- Thieves Bay to Browning via Pender bluffs. Stop for main meal at Poets Cove, hike Mount Norman 9nm
Wednesday Day 3- Browning to St John point to hike, Irish Bay, Winter Cove, main meal at Saturna Pub. Evening disc golf (optional plan Port Washington around Prevost island, dinner Copper Otter)
Thursday Day 4 - Pack up early, Mortimer Spit to Saturna Beach and Taylor Point ruins, back to Saturna beach, main meal at Sage Hayward Feral Goat bistro. Late ferry back to Victoria.
Since there are two GIGAbite tours planned (June 23-26, July 7-10) participants must choose only one of them. The invite is going out early in order to get a sense of numbers. The paddle manifest will be finalized early in the new year.

Note: Preregistration of any SISKA paddle is mandatory and any required waiver(s) must be completed prior to the day of the paddle. The paddle leader will turn away any paddler, member or non member, that is not already on the paddle manifest with a signed electronic waiver on file

Note:
Always dress for the possibility of immersion and please bring a drybag containing a spare change of clothes.
Please bring a lunch / snacks and sufficient beverage to keep you hydrated, as well as a themos of something warm.
