What:
A SISKA Light paddle from Cadboro Bay to Tour of Cadboro Bay and Uplands Shoreline
Skill Level:
This paddle is rated as a Light Paddle and will follow the same rules as a Relaxed Paddles with regard to current, wind, waves and crossings.. To understand this designation better, please read SISKA's Paddle Guidelines
Paddlers taking part in this paddle are required to have PC Basic or equivalent experience. For information about PC Levels click here.
The total distance of this paddle is estimated to be approximately 3.00nm.
When:
Saturday, September 27th, 2025. Meet at the launchsite by 12:30pm to be on the water by 13:00pm

Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:

** Preregistration is mandatory ** This paddle coincides with the SISKA Gear Swap event at Cadboro Bay / Gyro Park **
Note the start time! Arrive by 1230hrs (12:30pm) ready to be on the water for 1300hrs (1:00pm).
Handrail route around Cadboro Bay as dictated by wind and wave -- see the map for our proposed route. Depending on conditions and the group we might venture as far as Cattle Point, making our total distance closer to 4.5nm - decision at the beach before departure.
Please be prepared for possible immersion - proper outfitting is required. Please bring snack and hydration - a beach stop is not part of the plan. Any questions, please contact the paddle leader.

If weather does not permit this paddle to go ahead it will be cancelled.

The maximum number of paddlers for this paddle has been set to 10. There is room for 4 paddler(s).
Note: Preregistration of any SISKA paddle is mandatory and any required waiver(s) must be completed prior to the day of the paddle. The paddle leader will turn away any paddler, member or non member, that is not already on the paddle manifest with a signed electronic waiver on file
Note:
Always dress for the possibility of immersion and please bring a drybag containing a spare change of clothes.
Please bring a lunch / snacks and sufficient beverage to keep you hydrated, as well as a themos of something warm.
All participants are expected to have read, and to comply with SISKA's Policies and Procedures
