Plan A:
This is a beautiful shoreline paddle from Whiffin Spit to Cabin Point in East Sooke Park. If the conditions permit we'll launch on the outside part of the spit, otherwise we'll launch on the Sooke Basin side. We will noodle along the very scenic coastline of East Sooke Park. Lunch will be at Cabin Point. After lunch we'll paddle back, often taking a bit more a direct route.
Be aware that parking at Whiffin Spit is limited; you may need to drop off your boat and park further up the road if the lot is full.
Plan B:
If the weather is too rough for Cabin Point, we'll launch on protected side of the spit and take a tour of the Sooke basin, including a very scenic paddle up the Sooke River.
