Saturday, March 14th, 2026. Meet at the launchsite by 09:30am to be on the water by 10:00am

Who:
There is no paddle leader for this paddle at this time.

Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
This is a borderline Relaxed/Energizer paddle. More sunshine in March means a possibility of a titch more wind on the water--making it an Energizer.
Those entering Esquimalt Harbour must report to the Harbour Master on VHF Channel 10 as they enter and again as they leave.
This trip may visit Cole Island which was the Royal Navy munitions storage facility in years gone by. There is a small platform used to gain access to this historic site which is open to the public. You must be comfortable exiting and entering your kayak from a dock. Lunch -may- be at Cole Island or at nearby Portage Park.

Always dress for the possibility of immersion and please bring a drybag containing a spare change of clothes.
Please bring a lunch / snacks and sufficient beverage to keep you hydrated, as well as a themos of something warm.
