When:
Sunday, March 29th, 2026. Meet at the launchsite by 09:30am to be on the water by 10:00am

Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
Counterclockwise tour of Victoria Harbour, Gorge Waterway, portage at Portage Inlet to a lunch stop at Portage Park. Then paddle out of Esquimalt Harbour (be sure to call Harbour Master on VHF Channel 10) and back to Fleming Beach.
Ayetides predicts a less than 1 knot flood at the Gorge-Tillicum Bridge between 8am and 12pm but tide levels are near a 1 meter difference between the lower and upper Gorge. Immersion clothing is recommended for those unexpected swims. They do happen from time to time.
Come back at 6pm to see the 6.5 knot ebb in action.

Always dress for the possibility of immersion and please bring a drybag containing a spare change of clothes.
Please bring a lunch / snacks and sufficient beverage to keep you hydrated, as well as a themos of something warm.
