Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
With the very low tide of 0.3 m or 1.0 feet, it’s a good opportunity to explore the intertidal along the shoreline from Willows Beach. Paddlers are encouraged to share their knowledge of marine biology and local history, or anything else that might be of interest.

The plan is to noodle the shoreline along Willows beach towards Mary Tod island which we’ll paddle around, then head to Cattle Point and continue noodling along the shoreline through Uplands to Gyro Park at Cadboro Bay beach for lunch. We’ll retrace our steps, meandering back, seeing what we missed, although by then the tide will be rising slowly so we might not see as much. The distance is about 5 nm so it’ll be a very relaxed paddle. We’ll debrief at the OB Marina coffee shop.

Plan B:
