Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
Launch at the Island View boat ramp (South end of the beach). We will handrail the shoreline before crossing to James at the N end of Cordova Spit. Continue N against a gentle ebb and lunch at the NW point of James. Afterwards we will ride the ebb through Sidney Channel before crossing back to Island View.

This trip is intended as a bridge between Relaxed and Energizer paddles. While typical requirements for relaxed paddles apply, it is expected that participants have demonstrated experience in a kayak and a strong forward stroke. We will encounter light currents on this route as well as multiple short crossings. Please be in touch with any questions.
Plan B:
TBA - If strong winds are in the forecast we would consider Fleming to Esquimalt Hbr or Brentwood Bay.
