Details:
Andrea at Blackline Marine is offering a second full-day Kayak Repair clinic. Consisting of classroom, demonstration and hands on work, topics will include the manufacturing process, a “common issues†checklist, gelcoat work, polish products, structural issues, emergency repairs kits, bungee and line replacements and bulkhead sealants. Some repairs (like structural and polish work) will be limited to composite vessels, so the class will be more useful to those owners.
The clinic will run from 9:30AM to 3:00PM on Saturday April 18, 2026. A MINIMUM of 10 participants are needed for this clinic to proceed. If we do not get enough members, a full refund will be issued to those already registered.
It is asked that you arrive at 9:00 - 9:15AM to drop off your kayaks. There is free parking on site, and you will be issued parking passes after you unload your kayak. You don't necessarily need to bring a boat, this is a demonstration style clinic.
Not all kayaks will be worked on, some will be used to demonstrate repair/maintenance techniques. Once you are fully registered, and paid, you will have to email Andrea Morrison andrea@blacklinemarine.com (the instructor) the make and model of your boat, and a description of any issues with it.
Coffee, sugar and coffee-mate will be provided, but we ask you bring your own travel mug. Lunch options include the Stonehouse pub, and the Fox and Monocle, or if you prefer, space will be available for brown bagging your lunch.
Location is Blackline Marine, 22-2300 Canoe Cove Road, Sidney. At the Canoe Cove Marina.

Note: Refunds for cancellations will be permitted until 2 weeks in advance of a paid workshop, clinic, or course. Within 2 weeks of such an event, refunds for cancellations will only be provided if another member registers and pays for the spot vacated.
