Where:
We will launch at Genoa Bay. Need directions to the launchsite? Click here.

Who:
This paddle will be led by Dave Chater For more information about this paddle email Dave Chater

Details:
Our leader will introduce the Plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements and any concerns that you may have. Please stay off the water until we are all ready. The leader may choose to enlist helpers and establish communications protocol. If you have VHF radio please bring it with you.
Plan A:
This paddle requires carpooling once we are onsite. Initially there will be a car drop of a portion of the vehicles at Maple Bay and then the remaining vehicles (with all of the kayaks and paddlers loaded in) will drive to Genoa Bay for our launch from the Genoa Bay Marina.

This should be a lovely fall paddle with lots of fall colours in the foliage along our paddle route.

Once we launch from Genoa Bay, we will noodle the west side of the shoreline along Separation Point. We will then go around the point and again noodle along this shoreline for 2-3 miles before stopping for lunch at a beach just before heading through Sansum Narrows. After lunch we will again noodle the east shoreline through the narrows before making our way back to Maple Bay and the boat launch at the Maple Bay Rowing Club.

We will again do the car swap to bring boats, paddlers and cars together at Genoa Bay.

Once we are all sorted out car and boat wise, we can debrief the paddle at Drumroaster Coffee at 24-1400 Cowichan Bay Road and the Trans-Canada Highway.
