Plan A:
NOTE - This is one of the longest paddles on the SISKA yearly calendar. The paddle is scheduled to be just over 15 nautical miles so as to take in Blackberry Point and the unique sandstone cliffs on Valdes Island. Paddlers on this trip should have a good level of skill/experience and fitness.

The plan is to leave the Cedar public launch point and cross over to Link Island. We will cruise along the west side of Link and DeCourcy Islands taking in the sculptured sandstone cliffs and their unique shorelines. We will then cross over Ruxton Passage to the west shores of Ruxton Island and continue to Whaleboat Passage. We will use this passage to transition between Ruxton and Pylades Islands to reach Pylades Channel.

We will use this transition to pause and make a decision to go further to Blackberry Point for lunch or stop at Pylades for lunch. Our destination after lunch is the significant sandstone cliffs and galleries along the west side of Valdes Island.

After cruising the Valdes Cliffs - we will cross over back to the east side of DeCourcy and past Pirates Cove Marine Park. We will continue along DeCourcy Island before turning left to go through the very narrow gap between DeCourcy and Link Islands before our final push back to the Cedar launch.

Afte the paddle, we can debrief at the Wheatsheaf Pub in 'downtown' Cedar.
