Request a spot on a paddle
Register from the paddle page or join its waitlist, see your request go from pending to confirmed, and cancel if your plans change.
Ask to join a paddle
On the old site you emailed the leader and waited. Now you ask from the paddle itself and the site keeps you posted.
- Open Calendar, find the paddle and open it. The Registration card is beside the details.
- Not signed in yet? The card shows two options: Members → Sign In and Guests → Register as Guest. Members should always choose Sign In: the guest path is for non-members and won’t connect your request to your membership, your waiver or your paddler profile. Signing in happens right there on the page.
- Choose Register (on a paid activity the button shows the amount, and when the trip is full it reads Join waitlist). The first time, you are asked to agree to the privacy policy.
- You land on a receipt that says your request has been submitted. A request is an ask, not a seat. The paddle leader decides who is on the trip, based on the space available and the conditions, and the site emails you when you are confirmed, waitlisted, or offered a spot.
- For a paid activity the receipt shows the e-transfer details. Put your last name and the activity title in the e-transfer message so the treasurer can match it. Questions about paying? See Paying by e-transfer: common questions.
Signing up someone in your household, or bringing a friend who isn’t a member? See Sign up family members or a guest.
Check that you are actually on the trip
Look for the confirmation before you plan around the paddle. The Registration card on the paddle page shows where you stand: Registration pending means the leader hasn’t decided yet; You’re registered means you have a place; You’re on the waitlist means not yet; Spot offered means a place has opened and is yours if you take it first (see below). Your homepage’s Next Up card shows the same word, and Paddler Profile lists all your upcoming registrations. If the morning of the paddle arrives and the card still says pending, you are not expected on the beach.
If you are offered a spot from the waitlist, act on the email promptly: on a free paddle the first to reply gets the spot, and on a paid one the first payment received does. Can’t go after all? Cancel from the paddle page so the next person is offered it.
Add it to your calendar
Once you are confirmed, put the paddle in your own calendar so it shows up on your phone.
- Open the paddle. Beside You’re registered on the Registration card there is a small calendar button; choose it to open Add to calendar.
- Pick Google Calendar or Outlook to add it online, or Download .ics (or Apple Calendar) to open it in your phone or computer’s calendar app.
The same links are in your confirmation email. They only appear once you are confirmed, not while a request is pending.
Change your mind
Open the paddle and choose Cancel registration, then Confirm cancellation. The leader is told and the next person on the waitlist can move up. The button is there until the paddle starts; after that, let the leader know directly.
If you paid, the activity’s Refund policy (in the Registration card on its page) is the rule. Normally you get your money back, less bank fees, if you cancel at least two weeks before; after that, only if someone else takes and pays for your spot. Some activities are marked No refunds and don’t give one.
Waiver first
You need a current SISKA e-waiver on file to be confirmed. If yours is missing, your homepage shows a Waiver Follow-Up card with a Start Waiver button.

A paid activity shows its refund policy: usually a refund, less bank fees, up to two weeks before. Activities marked No refunds don’t give one.
